Care Tips

  • Carry from the bottom

Pick up and carry cake box from the bottom, never from the top or the sides. The base is the most stable part of the box.

  • Keep level

Keep cake level at all times. The most level place in your car is either the boot or the front footwell.

  • Keep cold while transporting

Cakes are best transported in an esky but if you can't make sure you transport your cake in an air conditioned vehicle. Drive slowly avoiding sudden stops/turns.

  • Refrigerate

Store your cake in a fridge or coolroom, and keep out of direct sunlight, moisture, and heat. Flowers will last in the fridge in a sealed box for up to 1 day, the cake itself will be delicious for up to a week in the fridge.

  • Serve at room temp

Take your cake out to display 1-2 hours before serving in summer, 2-3 hours before serving in winter. Serve at room temperature.

  • Hot wet knife

Use a hot, wet knife to cut your cake, wiping after each slice. We recommend cutting in a grid like fashion rather than wedges, wee the suggested servings in the table above.
