We all know that this winter has been mighty frigid, and it seems it's like to continue that way, so we've brought in an old Aussie classic to warm the cockles of your soul this winter - Sticky Date Pud.
There's something special about our sticky date, the softness and richness is truly unmatched in any other we've ever tasted. The dates are cooked to a thick porridge before adding them to the batter, giving the final pud darkness and depth of flavour. We then thoroughly drown the pud in salty sweet butterscotch straight from the oven.
We know it seems counterintuitive in this weather but she shines best when paired with a quality vanilla gelato - we'll soon be stocking local gelato but for now you can pair your order with a tub of delicious Gelista creamy vanilla bean gelato.
